Review:
The complex, which is about 30 minutes drive
from Banjul Airport, was established in the
late eighties by a woman who believed that the
rich tourist potential of this country should
be rationally exploited to the benefit of all.
The lodge lies next to Tanje Fishing Village
and south of a pretty lagoon and a bridge. It
offers some spectacular views of the mangroves
and Karinti River Bird Reserve which lie to
the north side of the accommodation. The major
downside of Nyanya's is its proximity to the
fish market means getting wafts of fishy smells
and the litter that is often washed ashore from
the fish centre.
