Q-Money Financial Services Gambia Ltd was incorporated
in October 2015 as a mobile money and mobile based payment
services and solutions operator. It is a company that
uses innovative telecommunication technologies in the
provision of mobile financial services.
QMoney Financial Services is an offshoot of QCell Company
Ltd, a locally owned and run mobile network operator
and a part of the QGroup of firms.
QMoney Financial Services is licensed by the Central
Bank in Banjul capital under the 2011 Mobile Money Regulations
to operate mobile money services in The Gambia. It aims
to broaden financial participation among the over 65%
of the population with no bank account to reduce the
disparity of gender and income.
