The Gacem's name for their hydraulic Portland Cement
(for which it is the largest supplier) is called "Bambo"
which is delivered by trucks in loose, bulk form &
packed at its Kanifing factory into double paper bags.
The company's
owner & proprietor is the entrepreneur Mr. Amadou
Samba.
The firm has been part of the
Italian
based Italcementi
Group since 1993 and is the sole importer. Italcementi
is the world's 5th largest cement producer and
has 1 flat terminal at Banjul ports.
