Maersk Gambia Ltd. is an agency company established
by the Denmark-based A.P. Moller Group in 1993 and is
the appointed customs clearing agent for Maersk Line
/ Logistics division in Banjul Ports.
It also acts for Safmarine Container Lines, Combitainer
N.V, and Transit plus France SARL. The agents' operations
also extend to the Cape Verde Islands and Guinea Bissau
where the AP Moller has subsidiary called Star Shipping
Lda.
They also offer port clearance services for both shipping
firms and consignees in The Gambia as well as offer
vessel handling for ship owners and charterers in relation
to break bulk and bulk cargo.
Loads & Sizes:
Larger loads to and from destinations around the world
from Antigua & Barbuda, the Port of Rotterdam to
South Korea and Vietnam. The company will also take
on smaller than container sized loads or groupage cargo
from select routes.
Equipment:
Their facilities includes general and refrigerated containers.
Tracking Service:
Maersk Gambia's clients can also track their container
movements, make bookings and even give shipping instructions
online.
Shipping Schedules:
Sailing windows to and from the Port
of Banjul is weekly and with a fixed timetable.
