Biography:
Kemba Sussoko began learning to play the Mandinka's
Kora at eight.
He is the equivalent at the European troubadour. Kemba
is a griot vocalist who also plays the kora, a half-gourd
with a neck with 21 strings, tense as a harp. The songs
he plays are almost all traditional and meant as tribute
to rulers or
deceased,
or for special family.
