Review:
Bendula Lodge is certainly off the beaten track, away
hectic tourist scene. Fortunately, just 10 minutes
away from the accommodation, you can catch a bush-taxi
to take you towards Kololi (18 km), Serrekunda, Gunjur
and Sanyang beach (10 km).
The rooms at the lodge are clean but fairly basic
and simple with no en-suite bathroom or toilet. The
seating and tables are of basketware. What it lacks
in room facilities it more than makes up for in its
restaurant and bar as well as the almost constant
peacefulness and quiet interspersed with birdsong
and conversing guests and staff.
The eco-lodge is set some distance away from the idyllic
beach of Batokunku but it is walkable in around 15
minutes, especially in the morning and late afternoons.
