Review:
Jinack Lodge is basic holiday accommodation nestled
on an an almost deserted beach with miles and miles
of emptiness and separated from the mainland by a
small strip of the Atlantic Ocean.
The rooms are kept simple but comfortable and clean.
There is no mains electricity on the island however,
solar energy helps to run the basic operations for
the buildings.
The lodge is maintained by the local people and profits
go back to the local people. Their fruits and vegetables
are grown organically by the locals which helps to
provide and income to local villagers.
The hideaway place won a Certificate of Excellence
in 2013 from TripAdvisor. The eco-tourist lodge is
an ideal destination for those who really do want
to get of the beaten track and enjoy their winter
holiday in Gambia in quiet and relaxing surroundings.
