Review:
The idea to create The Folly Plantation Boutique Hotel
came after trips by
Nikki Lincoln to the Gambia in 1999. After seeing
the poor conditions locals lived in they began shipping
over charity supplies of clothing & household
items. Later they decided would be a good idea to
create local employment as the best way to alleviate
local poverty.
The
Plantation
bar & holiday bungalows is an excellent alternative
type of accommodation for those who just want to get
away from the busy tourist areas. It is a mini tropical
paradise catering to your basic needs and offering
tranquillity and relaxation that's next to none.
Indeed it has received great reviews from former guests,
many of whom have become repeat visitors. It has received
many top marks for value for money, sleep quality,
cleanliness and service.
The food served at the restaurant is considered superb.
Try the delicious lobster of giant prawns caught locally
and prepared by their expert chef.
This is a family owned resort which is kept very clean
and airy and the accommodation units are set around
a swimming pool.
Note: The accommodation is not suitable for small
children.
