General Hospital Farafenni
The
Farafenni APRC General Hospital has beds for 250 patients
& was built in 1999 to provide better healthcare
for 300,000 Gambians living in the North Bank region. |

Bansang
Hospital
It
is situated 200 miles up-river from Banjul. It was built
in 1938 by the colonial government. |

Bundung
Maternal & Child Health Hospital
In Bundung, the charity hospital has treated over 1000,000
patients since it was established in 25th May 2001.
It is a joint project between the president & the
Department of State for Health. |

Council
Located in Fajara it is financed by the UK
Government and is the UK's largest medical research
investment in a developing country. |

Royal Victoria Teaching
Hospital
The RVH, located in Banjul capital, was built in 1853
and
is a 650-bedded tertiary hospital which has various
medical departments such as paediatrics, general surgery,
obstetrics and A&E. |

RVTH
Eye Clinic
The RVTH eye clinic is West Africa's
Regional Ophthalmic Training Programme. They deal with
eye problems such as trachoma and cataracts. |

Sulayman
Junkung General Hospital
Situated in Bwiam town it was built in 2003 and is operated
by the Gambian Government Ministry of Health. It treats
approximately 16,000 patients annually. |
